1967 Lamborghini Miura P400

The definitive supercar of the Sixties, the Miura needs no introduction. Launched to international acclaim in March 1966, the Lamborghini Miura quickly became the favourite of Sheikhs, playboys, rock stars and industrial tycoons. In original P400 form it left its rivals for dead in terms of styling, performance and handling.

Today the Miura is considered the original supercar, the motoring landmark which set the template and inspired all Latin exotica which followed, and is frequently voted ‘sexiest car’ of all time.

1987 Porsche RUF Carrera 3.4 'Goldfinger'

The famous Pfaffenhausen company Ruf Automobile GmbH was founded by the current owner’s father (also Alois) in 1939. The town in Bavaria is some 150km south east of Zuffenhausen, the home of Porsche. Alois Snr had been servicing and repairing Porsches since 1960, but it was his son who developed the idea of individualisation and upgrades in the 1970s. Since than the name Ruf has been synonymous with the marque’s cult and sometimes quirky rear-engined sports cars. From simply looking after, upgrading and tuning 911s, the company developed into a manufacturer in its own right in 1981.

Ferrari 330 P4

With styling very similar to that of the 330 P3, this model was powered by a V12 engine that had been radically redesigned by Franco Rocchi. The most obvious modification was the introduction of a three-valve cylinder head – two inlet and one exhaust. Fuel feed was provided by a Lucas injection system. The chassis was slightly shorter than the 330 P3’s, and the new suspension system improved roadholding. The car won numerous races and earned its place in the history books after a memorable 1-2-3 at Daytona.
